The design of the Non-contact Rising Stem Ball Valve (RSBV) avoids issues of trunnion mounted, floating ball and other conventional valve types under the next extreme conditions:

HIGH PERFORMANCE in extreme conditions:

SINGLE SEAT DESIGN: no adverse effect from thermal expansion.
METAL TO METAL SEALING. No need for weak parts to obtain perfect sealing. Sealing is obtained mechanically.

FRICTION-FREE OPENING AND CLOSING. The Rising Stem Ball Valve sealing mechanism is based upon axial movement only, compared to standard Ball, Gate, Plug and butterfly valves having their sealing mechanism based upon shear force, friction and tearing. With The Rising Stem Ball Valve sealing there is no friction or tearing as contact between ball and seat during rotation of the ball is not there. This sealing means no marks on the seal and, compared with other types of valves, an exceptional long life with up to zero leakage during its lifespan.

SELF-CLEANING sealing surfaces: high velocity flow during opening and closing.

LINEAR STEM MOVEMENT ONLY resulting in strong and controlled opening and closing „1 inch per 1 second“.

THE SELF-LOCKING OPERATING MECHANISM on all valves secures the closing member from rotating due to in-line forces. As a result there is no danger of line slam or shock.

IN-LINE MAINTENANCE AND SERVICE. Top-access for stem packing renewal is possible while the valve is in-line and top of the valve is closed by back seat. TOP ENTRY for easy service and possibility to exchange all internals including seat while the valve is in-line.
